I used to watch Late Night with Conan O’Brien during high school. He’s a funny guy, mostly with self-depricating humor and is somewhat of an entrepreneur!
In his own statement about the deal, O’Brien stated, “In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.” O’Brien’s production company, Conaco, reportedly owns all rights to the show.
Further, he has made dreams come true not with money, but with his connections.
In recent years, Conan has briefly taken his show abroad to both Japan and South Korea, where I have lived! These are must-see episodes!
He is extremely American, and he tastefully tests the boundaries of the cultures enough for you to see the different sides. It’s funny, and of course awkward at times.
Here is the 12-video mix of the the Japan trip (only the live Q&A video is more than 10 minutes).
